CHAD’s IPRI score increased by 0.15 to 3.89 placing it 24th in the Africa region and 117th in the world. CHAD is classified by the IMF as part of the Sub-Saharan Africa group and by the World Bank as a low income country.

CHAD’s Legal and Political Subindex increased by 0.2 to 2.58 with scores of 2 in Judicial Independence, 2.68 in Rule of Law, 3.21 in Political Stability, and 2.41 for Control of Corruption.

CHAD’s Physical Property Rights Subindex increased by 0.28 to 4.81 with scores of 3.34 in Property Rights, 8.49 in Registering Property, and 2.61 for Ease of Access to Loans.

CHAD’s Intellectual Property Rights Subindex decreased by -0.02 to 4.28 with scores of 3.03 in Intellectual Property Protection, 5.53 in Patent Protection, and data unavailable for in Copyright Protections.
