CHINA

CHINA’s IPRI score increased by 0.3 to 5.71 placing it 9th in the Asia and Oceania region and 52nd in the world. CHINA is classified by the IMF as part of the Emerging and Developing Asia group and by the World Bank as an upper-middle income country.

CHINA’s Legal and Political Subindex increased by 0.14 to 4.52 with scores of 5.27 in Judicial Independence, 4.33 in Rule of Law, 4.04 in Political Stability, and 4.47 for Control of Corruption.

CHINA’s Physical Property Rights Subindex increased by 0.48 to 7 with scores of 5.87 in Property Rights, 9.34 in Registering Property, and 5.79 for Ease of Access to Loans.

CHINA’s Intellectual Property Rights Subindex increased by 0.29 to 5.61 with scores of 5.42 in Intellectual Property Protection, 8.42 in Patent Protection, and 3 in Copyright Protection.
